Joy Dada is a Research Professional at DIL working on health research projects in South America and Africa. Prior to becoming a pre-doctoral researcher, Joy worked as a Research Assistant for University of Chicago Professor Pablo Peña at DIL assessing the impact of receiving free glasses on the academic performance of public school students in Mexico. She previously worked as Research Assistant Intern at The Hamilton Project at Brookings, contributing to projects on social welfare programs and co-authoring a policy memo on the Nurse Licensure Compact. She is particularly interested in early childhood intervention and analysing mental health poverty traps. Joy graduated from the University of Chicago with bachelor degrees in Economics and Mathematics.
